Secretary Message

There is a big, big difference between the times you as a parent grew up and the times your child is getting ready to go to a school. What’s the difference? You will agree when I say that the role of education in a person’s future is far more important today than it was in the earlier times. Let me elaborate why.

The world is a smaller place than what we thought earlier. It is not an exaggeration, but very real. We are able to see and feel what happens in the rest of the world right in our drawing rooms. Internet and television have awakened our minds to aspire for much higher destinies. But while we see the big opportunities ahead, we are also aware that there far greater uncertainties that the future generation has to cope with, in their path towards success. The children today need to be prepared to overcome these by equipping themselves with the right skills. What skills do they need to succeed in tomorrow’s world?

Pure knowledge alone will not take one far today. The child will need to be armed with life skills, in the process of growing up. What are life skills? Life skills mean the behavioural make up of the individual. These could be broken up as logical thinking skills, creative skills, communication skills and stress tolerance skills. Research has shown that these skills can be developed over a period of time, through wholesome learning.

So, I urge you to ask yourself, “Am I giving my child the right platform for life? How can I enable the right learning to create a successful future?” You are welcome to walk in and talk to us.

We, at MEC Group, understand the role of wholistic learning and can give your child the advantage he needs for a great future!
